Vodafone maintains a leadership position in developing and shaping opinion on the future of mHealth. Our first paper describing the opportunities of mobile communications with respect to the challenges in healthcare was published in 2006. This was followed by a report issued as part of the Vodafone Foundation's partnership with the UN Foundation, which covered 50 mHealth case studies from across the developing world.

The Vodafone Foundation is also a founding member of the mHealth Alliance alongside the UN Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation. The mHealth Alliance supports the adoption of mHealth through policy research and advocacy and the development of interoperable and sustainable mHealth solutions.
